The sustainable fertilisation and analysis sector recently held its biennial congress in Nantes.
The event was organised by Comifer (the French committee for the study and development of sustainable fertilisation) and Gemas (the soil analysis methodology working group) and involved almost 500 participants. This year, the primary focus was on current issues such as recycling and the management of organic matter.
In line with this theme, Galys Laboratoire agronomy specialist Bruno Félix-Faure presented a paper on the effect of organic residue products on soil acidity, written jointly with INRA research director Philippe Cambier.
Galys was also represented by Philippe Michonneau (Scara) who who discussed the value of sap analysis for the management of nitrogen and trace elements in field crops
